Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday seemed throw in towel on more government restrictions over COVID-19 – insist it’s now up Americans to make their own medical risk estimates.

“It won’t be rooted out and it won’t be eliminated,” Fauci said on ABC’s “This Week.” “And what will happen is that we will see that each person will have to make their own calculation of in amount of risk what are they want to accept.”

The White House’s chief medical adviser said Americans will have to consider factors such as their age, vaccination status and whether they have live with vulnerable individuals when it comes to precautions against the coronavirus.

“We are at the point where in in many ways… we’ll have to live with to an extent of virus in in community,” he said.

” best way to mitigate this, you need to get vaccinated. If you don’t, to get a raise if you’re eligible for a raise.”

Fauci’s comments on the state of the pandemic was in striking contrast with more dire warnings he issued early on in 2020.

Fauci said that while “there are concerns that we are seeing a resurgence in cases”, “no wonder you’ll see a spike when you pull back on mitigation methods.
