Training Legs With Knee Pain

Leg day is no fun when your knees are screaming at you! Fortunately, Master Coach Zach Long has 3 exercises that will let you crush your legs with less pain!

► Slantboard Step Downs do a great job loading the quads and if you add a resistance band as shown in the video, it will keep constant tension on them throughout the entire motion making this a killer quad pump exercise.
► Spanish Squats also keep constant tension on the quads so they never get a moment of relief and really build up a lot of metabolic fatigue. They have the added benefit of letting athletes really sit back, resulting in very little strain on the knee joint.
► Finally, banded split squats get athletes to focus on driving the knee out as they exercise which can often relieve stress on the knee.
