Progress Overload what is it?
People think progressive overload is when you simply add more load to the barbell and lift heavier and heavier every single time. This is ONE form of progressive overload.
Other forms are:
✅ Intensity
✅ Volume
✅ Rep Ranges
✅ Longer sessions (sometimes)
I have found that a combination of all the above helps you optimise your training.
Your aim should be to work with some form of progressive overload and remember that NOT EVERY SESSION you have to try and lift heavier and heavier….. there will be “good and bad days” and sometimes muscular endurance is what you’d prefer to do! Not just 1 max reps and power.
